Market Journal: Hog Markets, Biofuels and Energy Prices

• Wally Tyner, professor of agricultural economics at Purdue University, about the blend wall in biofuels;
• Chad Hart, Extension economist at Iowa State University, about the economic interaction between energy prices and grain prices. Hart suggests producers assess the fundamentals when analyzing grain markets, but consider the impact of energy markets;
• Maria Marshall, associate professor of agricultural economics at Purdue University, on developing family communications; and
• Al Dutcher, state climatologist, for the late summer forecast.
