The past academic year had many successes to share as students and graduates continued to excel in all that they do. A shining example of these successes was our student case competition teams winning national titles in two national Deloitte case competitions — the Audit Innovation Campus Challenge and the FanTAXtic National Case Study.

A new, innovative accounting course called Research and Communication in Accounting (ACCT 455) merges business and improv to prepare future accountants for the ever-changing industry. Through writing, research and improvisational techniques and tools, students are equipped with increased confidence, effective communication and collaborative teamwork to thrive as future leaders.

The School of Accountancy was endorsed by IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession. By meeting their educational standards, students can pursue the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential and careers in private and public accounting.
