Yuxi Yao is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 2020.
Yao is a macroeconomist. Most of her research involves applying equilibrium models with heterogeneous agents to understand the long-run trends in important variables characterizing the housing market, including house prices, rents, homeownership rates, and household mortgage debt. She is also interested in studying people's location choices and housing-related policies.
